Antique T-Yoke Dress Class

Elegant Heirloom Sewing - Baby Gown by Jeannie Downs Baumeister
This class offers Machine Heirloom Sewing at it's finest.  You will go beyond the basics as you learn how to stitch with fine fabric and lace under the supervision of The Old Fashioned Baby  Pattern designer, Jeannie Baumeister.  You will learn the basic method of machine rolling and whipping lace to fabric, attaching lace insertion to fabric (and cutting away the fabric behind the lace) as well as how to miter the lace as you incorporate it into your dress design.  Learn to stitch entredeux to fabric by machine as you attach the front gown to the back with entredeux.  The entredeux at the neck and sleeves are sewn using the Old Fashioned Method - Jeannies's favorite.  You will also learn to evenly gather lace edging and attach it to entredeux.  Fine embroidery stitches are the icing on the cake as you stitch this wonderful heirloom keepsake for your own special baby.  This elegant T-yoke style gown is  inspired by an antique Baby Dress made circa 1920.  It has been recreated here for you to stitch.  Baby Gown is 21" long making it suitable for a Baby Dedication , fancy portrait gown or simply to admire your sweet baby. Or choose a Puff Sleeve Baby Dress Length for your baby. Size:  Infant

Laces will vary from the dresses pictured here.
We will be stitching on the Antique T-Yoke Gown
