Fancy Baby Rose Class by Jeannie

Fancy Baby Rose Class

We will be making a dress from Baby Rose pattern shown above.
The dress view that's on the lower left is the class dress.

This is the class dress made from pale green Fairy Fabric with off white lace.

This is similar to the dress (but not the actual dress)  we will make.  It is an elegant little garment with lovely lace embellishment and embroidered accents.  Our dress will feature different embroidery stitches than the white one pictured above.
Bermuda Faggoting is the openwork you see above.  This is a lovely hand embellishment also known as Point Turc, Three-Sided Stitch and Lace Stitch that will be stitched on our dress.
In class, you will learn to attach lace to fabric in the correct order and to safely cut the fabric from behind the lace and secure it in place.

The embroidery stitches include Bullion Rosebuds and Looped Bullion Flowers,  Tiny Chain stitch, Lazy Daisy and Featherstitching.

We will construct the dress with Entredeux stitched between the front and the sleeves.  Our sleeves will have Beading and Ribbon along with lace edging.  And the back placket will be secured in place with the hand (or machine) Pinstitch.

We will also work on a matching slip  to compliment this wonderfully elegant little dress.

The fabric will be a wonderful soft mint green Swiss Batiste.  The laces will be soft off-white and the embroidery will be worked in pretty colors!

This is how sweet this style dress looks on a baby!
This is one of my most beautiful ever dresses!!
